Make An Ebook Using Google Docs
For those of you who want to have access to all of your work using Google Docs can be a great way to store all of your information. Google Docs makes it very easy to create, share and collaborate documents with others. The one feature that I thought was really cool was that you can make any Google Doc into a pdf or as most know an ebook. You can even send the pdf file as an email attachment. Another great feature is that if you have a gmail account you can drag and drop any google docs project in your email. If you haven't checked out Google Docs you really don't know what you are missing. It has a ton of features that most pay high dollar for. For example you can make a poll to find out what your visitors' needs are, you can create a form and insert it in your site. You can create charts and diagrams. You can now edit any image that you insert to your google document.
Let's Get Started…
1. Sign In To Google
2. Go To Google Docs
3. Create A New Document
4. Add Your Content To The Document.
5. Make sure to Save your work!!
6. Go to the menu bar up top and select File, go down to Download As and select the file type you want.
Here are the different file types
ODT – To open these files you will need to have the Open Office Software
PDF – This will convert your document to an Ebook
RTF – This file type can be opened using Wordpad and is known a Rich Text Document
Text – This is a plain Text file type
Word – You can open this file using Microsoft Word
HTML (zipped) – This will compress the file
Do You Have A Google Profile?
Having a Google profile can make it a lot easier for others to find you on the internet. You can edit your Google Profile and share information about yourself with others. This profile will appear in the Google search results when someone is looking for you. Since Google is one of the main search engines that most people go to this is a great way to connect with new customers. You can add different profiles you have online for people to contact you like your Blog, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and any other sites that you belong to.

Half Way There…
I can't believe that it is already the 15th of August. Where has this month went? Today is my 15th post for the Ultimate Blog Challenge. This is the 3rd Blog Challenge I have done and I must admit that it does get a lot easier. I guess you could say that I am getting used to the whole blogging everyday deal. The best part to joining these Blog Challenges is that you meet so many wonderful people and get to read a lot of great stuff. I have really learned so much from reading others blog posts.
I do want to say "Thank You" to all of those who have hosted these Blog Challenges Connie Ragen Green, Jeanette Cates, and Michele Scism & Michelle Shaeffer. Thank You Ladies So Much – I can say that because of all of you I am becoming a more consistant blogger. That was my goal when I started the first challenge.
Freshen Up Your Blog
Every now and then you need to freshen up your blog. You can do this by changing fonts and colors. I was getting tired of the theme I had before so I decided to make some changes. I love the outcome! I realize now that I am a fan of simple style themes. When you have a simple theme, visitors are more likely to focus on your content rather than getting caught up and distracted from the chaos going on around your content. See this is why I love designing my own themes because then I can just go back to the file and play around with colors and fonts very easily.
Here are a couple of articles from WordPress.org to help you make changes to your blog design:
See What Everyone Is Talking About On Facebook
Have you ever wondered what everyone is talking about on Facebook? I came across a site today that lets you search for topics that others are talking about. The site is called Booshaka. Just enter the topic you want to know about and you will get results in real-time. There are a list of different topics that you can choose to search through.
What I like best about this site is that you can share resources and links you find with your Twitter followers and Facebook friends. A suggestion I have is to use this site to help you find targeted clients. You can search for your services or products and then help those who have questions or problems. This is a great way to network with others by offering free advice to solve their problems.
I would love to hear what you think about this site, please feel free to leave a comment below…..
