Another Great Day – How Can This Be…

WoW! I get to share another great day with you! So after I wrote last nights post I received a phone call from a vendor at the festival. My mom had me sign up for a couple of the raffles. One was from the car insurance Nationwide and the other was to win oh gosh I can't remember what the other one was. I love getting older and having these blank moments!!! LOL! The Nationwide agent called me to tell me that I had won a gift basket. Whoo Hoo I was so excited and made arraignments to pick it up today! Yes we went back to the fair just to pick up the gift. The basket included a complete car cleaning kit, jumper cables, roadside hazard signs, a huge insulated cup, tire gauge. Since we were there at the fair we had to get elephant ears, scones and fried Twinkies to go. Have you ever had a fried Twinkie? Oh My you are missing out. The fried Twinkie is something you can only eat once in awhile because they are sooo filling. But completely worth trying.

We went back to my parents house, spent time with the family and enjoyed the nice day we had. Gianna (my daughter) is teething again it's the back molars this time, and is not napping during the day. She gets up around 5-6am and is up til 8-9pm. I guess I could say that being a mom is such a hard job but completely worth every minute.  Since we have had a couple of long days I am just exhausted and need to end this here.

Off To Bed – Good Night

What A Great Day!

Today my daughter spent the day with my parents. We went to a local festival/street fair. I have to admit we ate elephant ears and hot fresh scones. Boy Oh Boy were they good. We had such an awesome time. My daughter rode on her first pony – with my help of course! See she LOVES horses and for her to actually get that close to one put her in shock! LOL I thought that she was going to freak out like she does with most big animals but she was really happy and excited to be next to the horse. Watching her experience this was emotional for me. I can't believe that my daughter is going to be 2 in September. The time has been going by so fast that sometimes I have to step back and enjoy each and every moment.

I seen the coolest thing today and it was a Veterans Memorial carved out of a tree. Even though it wasn't completed it still made me think about all those who are serving our country. I can't wait for it to be completed. I am going to have to make a trip up there to take a picture and share with all of you.

Well I am off to bed! It was a long day…Can't wait for tomorrow!

Family Time….

This weekend has been full of family time and my daughter and I had a great time. It started on Friday which was my mom's birthday. Since Saturday morning was the car show early, all of us helped to get the car ready. Even the grandkids! It was really cool to see all of us cleaning the car together. Since all of us have pretty busy schedules it's hard for us to get together all at the same time.

We got to the 1st Annual Emerald Downs Car Show at about 8am. There were over 130 cars and lots of variety. The best of show went to 1954 Corvette that was all original, a beautiful car!

Here is my nephew Matt Werner-Hagerty and his friend in front of mom and dad's 55 Chev. Matt is a Jockey at Emerald Downs. So after the car show it was on to the races. Matt rode and Won the feature race…Gooo Matt!

This was one great weekend that we will not forget! What an awesome weekend of SUNSHINE here in Washington State. If you have never been to the horse races I really suggest going just for the experience even if you don't know how to bet or anything. There are a lot of great people that will help you – just ask!

I know I suck…

At adding content to my blog. Yes I admit that I didn't finish Connie Ragen Green's 30 Day Challenge. <Sorry Connie and the rest of you!> I feel bad that I didn't complete it, but I definitely learned some life lessons. I had been so consumed by making sure that I blogged everyday that everything around me went to crap. And one thing after another was going on in my personal life that I just had to step back for a minute and get a hold of everything going on.  I am a stay at home mom first and my daughter is my first priority and every few months we have to adjust our schedule to work for us.  And this was one of those times. I am really excited to share some more great info just not as often. I will be also letting you know about some upcoming projects I have been working on too. Sorry about being absent, but be patient I will get a schedule going and I will try my hardest to keep up with it.

Catch Up

As most of my readers and clients know that I have taken Connie Ragen Green's 30 Day Blog Challenge.(@conniegreen) Well I got behind with posting and now I am trying to catch up. This is my 18th post…wooohoo! I guess I have had Spring Fever. Our weather here in Washington has been a little crazy the last few months. So with the Sun out more, my daughter and I have been outside as much as possible. And with that said – I neglected blogging. So this morning I sat down and wrote out a schedule. Being a stay at home mom, you can sometimes get lost in the day and before you know it – it's bedtime! I think this schedule will not only help me – it will help my daughter too! I can't believe my daughter is almost 20 months old. Where has the time gone? She is so busy all the time. Trying to learn anything and everything. She loves to color and play on her Barbie Laptop (Just like her Mommy! LOL) She has been really good considering her molar teeth are coming in right now. I have heard all these horror stories, but we haven't experienced anything too terrible. I think the worst has been when she is up for 12-14 hours straight and we have tried multiply times to nap without any success. I have learned on those days I need to be more patient and not to get frustrated. I guess that is enough rambling for now, the laundry is calling my name!
