Make Your Typing Tasks Easier
I was checking my email today and I seen one from Chris Brogan that caught my attention. Chris talks about automating tasks. Here is what Chris said. He spoke about a program called TextExpander (For MAC users) and Texter for PC users. I was curious so I had to take a look. Basically what this program does is allow you make Hot Keys for repetitious typing like addresses, emails, and even signature links. This text substitution runs in any application on the Windows Operation System. One cool feature is that you can set return to margins for your cursor and you can add clipboard contents also. I thought this was a handy little tool that I had never heard of and I just had to share it with you.
Here are a couple of Video Tutorials:

Texter – Advance
I would love to hear what you think of this application, so make sure to leave a comment below..

Update Your Blog From Your Browser
ScribeFire is a add-on to Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Apple Safari. This add-on allows you to post directly to your blog from the browser you are using. Once you install this program you will see a notepad icon in the lower right hand area of your browser screen.
FYI – Please note that if you are using WordPress (You Host Your Blog) you will need to enable Remote Publishing options. There are two that should be checked in order to use any remote publishing client.
Here is how to set up Scribe Fire for your Hosted Blog using Mozilla Firefox:
Click on the Notepad Icon (right bottom corner)
ScribeFire Account Wizard will start
Fill in your blog url, click Next
You will need to select what blogging platform your blog is using, click Next
Enter your Username and Password for your blog
The program will then verify your blog, click Next
Click Finish

Add An HTML Signature To Gmail
Today I wanted to add my signature to my Gmail account. I was a little surprised to find out that you can not add HTML to your signature in Gmail. This got me thinking and I just had to find out how to do add HTML in my signature. After researching I found a really great site that will allow you to add HTML, videos and links to all your social profiles.
The site is called WiseStamp. You can choose to add this to a few different browsers like: Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Flock and even Mozilla Thunderbird which is Mozilla's Mail client and is similar to Outlook. I was really excited to see just how easy it was to set up a link for my blog. And linking to all my social networks was totally simple. You can also add your IM client too. The one feature that I was excited to use in my signature was my blog's feed. This feature will allow my latest post from my blog to be displayed. Actually you can add any feed you would like to this option. This add-on tool is a great free resource to help you promote you, your blog and brand.
WordPress 3.0 Released Today
If you haven't noticed today yet, but WordPress 3.0 has been release. There were over 2700 items changed and fixed in the new version. After updating to the new version you will first notice the new user interface. It's a light grey scheme. I really like the new look personally. Under the Dashboard tab you will notice an Updates tab. When you click on it you will have a screen appear telling you if your plug-ins, themes and blog version is up to date. Wow this is pretty handy.
Under Appearance if you click the Themes tab you will notice that there is a new default theme called "Twenty Ten" This theme has a ton of different features. And I am trying it out on another site of mine. As I learn more things about WordPress 3.0 I will be sharing all the great stuff I learn.
